Years later, Simon was commissioned by Pope Peter to do some work for the Papacy. Simon, before setting out for his assignment, was visited by the same man of the dirt and cross episodes. "The heart of thorns will be needed some day. Two men, twenty-one hundred years from now, will discover the message and hopefully mankind will change and save themselves. Work well my son Simon. The future world needs me." When the revelation became known to the artist, he created what we see today. This image, that graces our cover, has been in the Vatican archives since the hand of Simon of Cyrene created the artifact.
