Overview
Striking as it is soft, vulnerable as it is commanding, Feast signals the arrival of an essential voice. In her debut poetry collection, Alexandra Antonopoulos paints a primal landscape of passion, defiance, and fatalistic repetition while delving into reflections on the sacredness of love and self. There is a dark foreboding in Feast that forges an unshakable sense of cosmic déjà vu. Vivid and raw, the poems explore the inherent danger that lies in vulnerability - and the further danger of hiding our deepest truths. Feast takes an unflinching look at relationships and the desperation that bubbles below the surface, exploring what it means to love and to know oneself fully, daring the reader to devour life's inherent contradictions as readily as honey wine.
