Fay Poloson Haynes' life, horses, accomplishments, art, short stories and poetry. Fay Polson Haynes was born January 4, 1926 in Helena, Montana. Her mother, Mae DeSchamps Poloson was a Homesteader, and her father, Dan Poloson, was an Immigrant from Romania. Fay started riding horses when she was 4 years old and became a top hand. She is in the Montana Cowboy Hall Of Fame, and won so many Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, and Western Stock Horse events. Fay is an artist of both oil paintings and pencil sketches; most of these accomplished by the time she was 16 years old. Fay began to write short stories and poems as a teenager and continued throughout her life.
