I wish I could travel back in time to places I have lived.I would then erase all the bad things that have happened to me and fix the mistakes that I made.I would stop all the hurts that were caused by or done to me.I would change all the times when I should've done this, or could've done that.I would not waste a single moment-no stone unturned. Then when everything is 'perfect', I would return.Had I known in my 30s, 40s, 50s or even the beginning of my 60s what I know today, my life would be 180 degrees different.I know that sounds quite scary, but think about it.Wouldn't you jump at the chance to go back in time and do a little 'tweaking' on your life? That's another reason I tried to keep my life as real as I could.I do not want this book to only reflect me, but I hope you also see fragments of yourself in the pages. Not everyone wants to critique their life.Yet we learn best when we can visually see the places we should have zigged and not zagged or veered left when we should have veered right. There is a reason for everything. Nothing happens without a purpose. People tend to shy away from the struggle. They tend to prefer "playing it safe". It's easier: Less dramatic: Less risky. But ... what if the struggle is actually the blessing? One day, I'll look back and realize that I needed this for what I will face in the not to distant future.Doesn't make "this" any easier; but it does make it more bearable.
