Ivan and the Queen: Book 101 Dragon and Wagon Adventures

One of the cart wheels breaks and Ivan curses as the cart comes to a stop in drop bear valley at the same time the sun is setting Ivan quickly repairs it with his axe then they are back on the road he has to go slow as the wheel is a spare then as he hears the drop bears start to howl and come out from their dens Ivan pulls the queen in close to him and outs his arm around her as the growls and howling get louder Ivan tells her that it going be alright he doesn't look at her he knows her scared face it hardly shows it's a look that he hates to see on her face that way he doesn't look then she makes him look she sits up and pecks him then he drew a her eyes he pashes her then keeps looking at her she is worried then as it gets dark Ivan holds the trigger and slowly trots along the path he knows how it going to go down the first of the drops bears he going have to blast it before it eats him and the queen alive then after that there will be a frenzy where drop bears come from North south east and west as they smell blood he just has to make it to the river as rain starts to fall he curses the gods then apologises knowing that he needs their help to make it to the river in one piece the queen taps Ivan on the shoulder he doesn't look she pointing at their shadows as they slowly gather and run alongside their cart they starts to howl then as they are blind they pick up the scent of Ivan and the queen then the movement if the cart like predators they see in infra-red then the first of them comes for Ivan the queen screams as it comes from the forest a massive prehistoric bear ten foot tall with the snout of a crocodile with even sharper teeth like a shark it gallops alongside the cart the queen keeps screaming Ivan gets her head then puts in it between his legs then fires at the drop bear as he is trotting along Ivan blows it's head off and still the body keeps running then gradually stops as the frenzy begins and other drop bears run in for the corpse..
