THE EUROPEAN UNION AND BREXIT: IF CHURCHILL AWOKE!: THE UNITED STATES OF EUROPE

In Europe, it seems that certain segments do not value in their real dimension the significance and meaning of the existence of the EU, which culmination and successful outcome of this wonderful process of integration of the ECSC and EEC. The EU represents - for humanity - the greatest economic, political and social legacy of the 20th century, coming from leaders such as Schumann, Adenauer, Churchill, and others; that, in a visionary way, they worked to unite the European family in an environment of peace, solidarity, and prosperity; therefore, they are called "Parents of Europe" and of the "EU". The EU is a dream come true, achieved with great spirit, weighing the past and looking to the future; and, thanks to its integration, Europe, like never before, enjoys peace for 74 years. This fact alone justifies the existence of the EU. Like any great human work, the EU also has detractors, skeptics, and discontents; this is the case of the "Brexit Pact" that seeks the exit of the United Kingdom from the EU when the ideal would be to join the family and the European cause, as Churchill "Father of the United States of Europe" would have wished. In addition, the EU is the living image of Europe in the world and an example of growth and joint development in a civilized context of peace, freedom, cooperation, and solidarity, among its peoples, with the international community and the Planet.
