Free Banking vs. Central Banking: An Agent-based Approach

In this book 2 possible types of free banking system, defined as a system without a regulatory authority such as central bank are compared with a central banking system by modelling a small economy where independent agents, such as banks, consumers or businesses, dynamically interact with each other. The results are analysed in terms of the influence of different banking systems on the stability of price level and economic growth.
