Overview
Dr. Glen Anderson, headmaster at the Huntington Academy, a 19th-century mansion turned upscale private girls' school on Long Island, often quoted Sun-Tzu: He will win who, prepared himself, waits to take the enemy unprepared. Not that there were enemies at the upscale school - or many moments when Glen left himself unprepared. He made sure of that. His life, his school, even his staff, and students were prepared for just about anything. Or so he thought.Enter a researcher at the school, poking through hidden recesses of the mansion complex, the discovery of nearly $50 million in Nazi gold hidden on the property - and a fascinating race to secure the gold that tested the headmaster's preparedness. And his ability to think on his feet. Was he prepared enough to take on an enemy willing to kill - and even more, to claim the gold? This fast-paced debut novel by R. C. Marchette is spellbinding.
