Overview
Avalon Princes is the second Grail Tale in the acclaimed Newport Knights series of stories, opening on Halloween night at mysterious Touro Tower. The spirit of a famous fashion designer and a lost dog take astrologer Wolfgang von Lowenherz and the noble souls of a new Round Table on a quest to dispel a dark force that emanates from another tower built by a Gilded Age Egyptian tomb raider nearly a century ago. Following the onstage possession of Morgana Pendleton while performing a play in Salem about the infamous Witch Trials of 1692, the stargazer rallies his fellow knights in an effort to counteract the evil attacking their friend. A malignant threat looms on the Newport horizon, aided by the acolytes of a black magician known as the Beast, a curse activated years earlier using a ritual involving the skull of an ancient Egyptian prince. The ensuing drama mirrors a myth of antiquity whose meaning is revealed at the climax of a tale of love, devotion and the origins of a tradition based on the healing properties of the Light.
