Overview

Everyone has heard of the fountain of youth made famous by the 16th Century Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de León. This timeless idea is one that has become a universal dream. In this book, I hope to introduce a new idea which I call the fountain of life. It is not simply a magical elixir being dispensed from a mythical water fountain but a complete state of the art approach to optimal aging. It is my intention that all readers will come away with a way of discovering their elixir but to also have the tools to think critically about aging issues and track the ever-changing science of aging. Life after 60, In Search of Optimal Aging has been written to provide people with an understanding of the strategies which can be undertaken to assist in the process of aging positively. Many people will be in sound physical, emotional, and mental health at 60. Some will have retired after age 60, but others will continue to work because of their interesting professions. By the time you complete this book, you will have insight regarding techniques which will make your existence an optimal experience.
