Overview
Very little is known about the late Nigel Taylor. He lived alone at Number 13, Hawthorn Road and kept himself to himself. When he died, villagers expressed their sadness but there was no-one to mourn. With the festive season upon the village, his passing is soon forgotten. But then early in the New Year, his landlady is found dead, seemingly murdered, inside the house Nigel had rented. Her untimely demise reopens recently unanswered questions: Who was Nigel Taylor? Who did he associate with? Where did he work? Why was his landlady murdered? At the forefront of those seeking answers are twin sisters, Hetty and Lottie, and their close friends. Always up for a challenge, the ladies begin their search for the truth and what better place to start than inside their favourite haunt, the Crown and Anchor. 'Murder in Hawthorn Road' is the seventh in the Pentrillick Cornish Mystery series. Although part of a series, it can be read as a standalone.
