Figuring out life after a divorce as a single mom is never easy. The heartbreak doesn't leave your heart. Annabelle worked at a veterans home as a CNA. Annabelle cared for all her members but Dawson and Margaret were her favorite. Their love of 70 years together moves Annabelle and helps her to overcome her pain from her divorce. This novel talks about divorce, kids, and the beauty of caring for people. Annabelle grows and learns a lot about herself through taking care of these two. At first, Annabelle is not ready to let anyone into her heart. She realizes that it's ok to let people in and that not everyone is like her ex. Love is beautiful so is marriage. Annabelle realizes that love does exist after heart break. This novel is based on my experience as a CNA. It is not meant to hurt anyone but beautify the aging process and the love that does last forever.
