Overview

This is a monograph on the algebraic notion of structure, referring to a structure resulting from either combining elementary objects of some kind, other objects of a similar kind, or from comparing numbers by magnitude. The author presents a basic theory of groups and rings, and other algebraic structures. This self-contained material constitutes an introduction to, and clarification of, the basic theories of the 12 kinds of structures and describes interrelationships between particular theories.
