Overview
What does it mean to get closer to God? James 4:8 (NKJV) promises: "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you." If you have believed in Jesus Christ and if He is your Lord and Savior, you're already as close to Jesus-spiritually speaking-as you can get. However, in the here and now, bombarded by earthly distractions and difficulties, it can feel like He is an eternity away. Through Get Closer: A Devotional for Encountering God, Van Moody leads you on a fifty-two-week journey of hearing God in the following areas: Faith, Family, Finance, Fitness, and Fun. Grow in intimacy and faith by setting aside time each week to get closer and encounter God. There is truly no greater calling this side of heaven!
