Overview
Like many of us, I started out as a tourist and developed into a traveler. From my first tentative trip abroad in the 1960s in a polyester polka-dot dress, through my most recent foray as a seasoned, award-winning writer (in breathable cotton), I've ventured with an open mind and heart to all seven continents of our beautiful world. The result is Places I Remember, over fifty years of writings and illustrated photos from a hundred countries. I'd call this unique book a mix of travel memoir, travel almanac, personal journal and illustrated album of my photos. Country by country, A to Z, I offer behind-the-scenes glimpses of my life as a travel writer.
