Overview
Diverse and eloquent, in turns funny, sad, and moving, these poems draw their infl uence from the Golden Age to the Space Age and beyond. By applying the eternal art of poetry to the universal myth of the superhero, the authors offer a strange and pointed look into both our own psyches and our popular culture. Villain, hero, sidekick, it speaks for all of them. As we are each of those things in turn, it ultimately also speaks for us. Who knew a poetic commentary on the super could be so human? - Amanda Gannon
