Overview
The Landscape of My Memory is a uniquely designed book that recounts my experiences as a lowly infantry grunt in The First Battalion 5th Mechanized Infantry from October 13,1966 to October 12,1967 in the jungles of Vietnam. The book contains U.S. Army Daily After Action Reports for the year, my personal experiences and commentaries and how they related to us as common soldiers. The book includes over 100 pictures taken by soldiers in the field, making the stories come alive to the reader. My hope is that the reader will feel a tiny part of 'our" Vietnam experience.
