Overview
Written by a player's mother, the book chronicles one family's unexpected baseball journey to the 66th Annual Little League World Series. In the summer of 2012, Blake Buhrer, 12 was not selected to play for the original 13-man all-star team - and it was killing him. There was little anyone could do to console him. Then came the phone call. Two weeks into all-star play, one of the players quit the team and Blake was offered the open spot. By the time the journey to Williamsport, Pennsylvania was over, the Petaluma team was crowned third in the world, Blake was signing autographs, and his family was in awe of the phenomenal support and generosity of their community.
