Don't Look Behind the Fridge is a novel full of adventure and intrigue with spies and gangsters. In the setting of Melbourne's familiar places, the plot twists and turns with unusual and interesting characters and a bit of romance. Often the unexpected happens and occasionally action is modulated with humour. The influential characters are women, and it's LGBT-plus friendly. Much of it is the observations of the main character protagonist called Jules Lemos, who returns home after a 10-year hiatus with little memory of his past that he chose to forget for painful reasons. He accidentally bombed an headquarters of an Islamic terrorist organization, which it wasn't - a fatal mistake. So, what do you do when you're really mentally f..ked up? Author, Julian Lechmus has written this novel about complex relationships which developed between emotionally scarred persons, some of whom worked for a fictional spy agency (i5), hired incognito by governments to perform politically unsavoury jobs that government agencies wouldn't risk. The eight other main characters. also have complicated past stories that unravel during the adventure. The many damaged characters uncover their pasts and fears to eventually discover they have much in common, while some still have something to hide. Most of the characters are connected with the i5 agencies and want to get out. Follow the journey.
