After another typical day, Lucy falls into bed trying to forget about her boyfriend's selfish third-time's-a-charm attitude and her insipid willingness to actually cook him three dinners until it was "just right." But little does Lucy know when she wakes up, her tediously normal life will be over. Harry has been searching for the right person for years. Because he's a ghost, only a few even have the ability to see him, much less help him. And now he has to wait for her to wake up to test his theory. In the middle of the night, Lucy opens her eyes and is startled to see a strange man sitting on her bed. Harry politely introduces himself and is pleased to discover he might have found the one. Among the Missing is a strangely realistic paranormal romance that follows Lucy as she begins to grow into her gift as a medium, helping restless ghosts move on. But as word gets out, she has to deal with more than just ghosts-everything from gawkers to haters. Harry supports her through it all, and by the time she finally helps him find his sister, it's Lucy who can't let go.
