Overview
Wednesday is a little girl who has suffered a big loss. She and her most trusted friend, a stuffed bear named Teddy, awake one morning to find the world a very different place. Their feelings are reflected in everything around them, from the teardrop shaped clouds outside their window to the toys that seem too heartbroken to play. But, soon Wednesday and Teddy find a special way to remember and reason to smile. Wednesday Mourning is written in child friendly, poetic verse. Hand-sculpted clay figures set in colorful scenes offer the reader an imaginative glimpse into Wednesday's world.
