Overview
Please Don't Call Me Chubby Roni! is a story about the harm of name-calling in the school setting for a young girl who is overweight. The actions taken by the main character, Roni, and her teacher raise awareness about weight-based bullying in the classroom. The book serves to open communication with children, parents, and teachers about negative body-size talk and the impact it can have on children. Questions for discussion are included for children, teachers, and parents.
