Overview
Charlie receives a special gift from his grandpa, a pair of Eskimo sunglasses carved by his great grandfather. As he wears the glasses, he imagines what life is like in the village, and what it used to be like for his ancestors. This book celebrates Alaskan Eskimo culture, while giving families a platform to learn more about their own rich cultures. Encouraging parent and grandparent involvement, this is a book for home-schoolers, teachers, and anyone wanting to explore their culture! Included are six activities! A family tree, drawing and learning prompts, letter templates to elders, and a d.i.y. magic glasses activity.
