This informative local history, originally published in two separate volumes between 1903 and 1904, is now available in an unabridged single-volume edition. The text is divided into a "narrative" section, providing a general overview of Mecklenburg County's history, and the appendix, which offers a more detailed look at a number of significant events that occurred in the county as well as a considerable body of genealogical data.
