Jefferson County, Georgia, Inferior Court Minutes [Volume Vii] October 26, 1835-May 20, 1868

Jefferson County was created in February 1796. The Inferior Court tried any civil case except those involving title to land. The Court had jurisdiction over county business matters, such as performing naturalizations, appointing guardians and constables, authorizing apprenticeships and indentures, and keeping the register of wills.
