Overview
Hiding behind a mask, closing yourself off to happiness and trying to convince yourself that everything's okay when really it's not, does not constitute authentic living. Not even close. The truth is, when you're processing the emotions that come up as the result of a past trauma (however large or small) our brains develop coping mechanisms that manifest as if from nowhere. But if these coping mechanisms aren't disrupted and become part of your daily life, they will keep you trapped and playing small in the space between who you were and who you know, deep down, you're meant to be. This book will help you gain the confidence to lower your guard, live life authentically and allow the real you to really be seen. You will learn how to let go of your story, cultivate a new normal and start living life all over again on your own terms. I'm Toshia Shaw and I work with women and men like you, who have survived traumatic life events but are ready to re-awaken and start living and loving life again.
