Overview
Tilly is a young witch. She is the very best witch. Tilly is on a quest to find the ingredients to make up a magic potion for her sister, Emily. Emily has been ill for many months and her condition is not getting better. Tilly knows where the ingredients are. They are right next door. What she does not know is that the man living next door has been kidnapped and another has taken his place. Tilly has to battle a raging tree, a blood-thirsty praying mantis and a cruel scientist to gather the ingredients for her magic potion.Tilly is very different from Emily. Emily is going through a stage of self-discovery. To help her through her periods of self-doubt and fears and to pass the time her grandfather gives her a game. The game is called 'Dreams and Nightmares'. As with such a game not everything is predictable or as it appears to be.The final outcome depends on both Emily and Tilly. Does Tilly overcome all that stands in her way and secure the magic ingredients? How do Emily's dreams and nightmares merge into reality? Does magic and self-belief pave the way for success? 'Tilly and the Magic Potion' is a book for all readers, young and old, who believe in magic and the power of self-belief.
