Overview
The local Westchester police turn to One Police Plaza when a high profile murder lands in their back yard. Captain Sam Jefferies takes the case and assigns two resigned police detectives on disability, now private investigators. Kevin Whitehouse has the analytical mind and a keen sense of investigatory skills; David Allerton has the ex-Special Forces, ex-Army Ranger training; and Margaret Alexander, David's caring and protective lover aids them in investigating the case. The murder leads the two detectives into the ruthless, glitzy and immoral New York nightlife. They wade through the company of unsavory criminals as well as spotless personalities, following the leads given to the point of madness and despair. All the while, the ominous secrets uncovered test the limits of friendship, partnership and loyalty. The Cover of Darkness is an unforgettable thriller that journeys down the darker paths of humanity and sanity to reveal the darkness covering a soulless city and the ties that we sometimes believe bind.
