Sold into prostitution, young Miri of Magdala escapes to Sepphoris, a bustling city in the hills to the west. There she meets Nura, the mystical healer, and her willful nephew, Yeshua. The newfound friends face looming disaster as they await a cousin's wedding. Filled with richly detailed characters and descriptions of 1st Century Palestine, Secrets of Miryam is a thoroughly engaging and surprising retelling of the biblical story of the Wedding at Cana.
