Overview
Imperfect in an Uncertain World: Your Life, Your Message is a mosaic of nonviolence and compassion wisdom created with tiles fired with knowledge from Thomas Merton, Dorothee Soelle, Mahatmas Gandhi, Marshall Rosenberg, Pema Ch÷dr÷n, others, and interpreted by me. It begins with the premise that we are all imperfect beings navigating an uncertain world. We take a journey through the world's commotion by being attentive to the moment. With this workbook, take a journey through the uncertainty of the world into a place of peace and compassion. Identify what triggers your violent reactions. Develop a nonviolent, compassionate skill set. This workbook provides resources for you to transition from violent reaction to compassionate response. But, mostly, it shares a message of hope. We may be imperfect and the world uncertain, but we need not get stuck in either of those. Within each of us is the power of transformation. That transformation is toward less violent, more compassionate individuals who are the roots of a flourishing nonviolent world. Those individuals truly live their message.
