While working at their first rescue facility the owner is arrested for embezzling charity funds. Leaving both ladies to scramble to find new safe havens for the horses. They brought in every favor they needed repaid, eventually finding an organization to fund the new rescue. Debbie and Kate were yin and yang to keep a solid balance while operating the rescue. Along with the vet and their loyal volunteers. Their joined efforts to make every horse brought in given a second chance at a better quality of life. Over the years new friends and co-rescuers from other equine rescue facilities joined forces.
