Overview
Kirsopp Lake, a leading biblical scholar of the early twentieth century, explores the concept of stewardship in early Christianity. Drawing on his extensive knowledge of the New Testament and other early Christian texts, Lake argues that stewardship was a central part of Christian ethics from the beginning. He traces the development of this idea through the centuries, showing how it has been expressed in different cultural contexts.
