Overview

Partial differential equations (PDEs) describe technological phenomenon and processes used for analysis, design, and modeling the technical products. Solution of the spatial and transient PDEs are realized by the PDE toolbox included in the MATLAB(R) software. MATLAB(R) is introduced in the book as an essential foundation for PDE and modeler of the PDE toolbox with appropriate explanatory solutions are applied to engineering problems in mechanics, heat/mass transfer, tribology, materials science, physics, and biotechnology.
