Revelation was written like any other book with one story leading into the next. Details are added in later chapters. The book has to be read and studied as a whole. It is a reminder that we are supposed to go to the actual Author, the source of infinite wisdom for answers. We are not to rely on ourselves, or anyone in the world for any answers. As soon as we do, we are headed down a trail that can and will mislead us on each and every detail in Revelation as well as other books in the Bible. Jesus wrote Revelation to help guide, direct, and warn us. It is up to each individual to accept that information from Jesus, or the conjectures provided by millions of other sources. We have a choice to consider. Once we are in the proper mindset with the proper communication with Jesus and His Spirit, we are able to understand the entire story. When we look to this world, study, cut apart, and dive into other sources to explain the book Jesus wrote, we are lost, and drifting further away every time we accept and attempt to explain concepts, ideas, and doctrines that were never associated with the book Jesus wrote. The simple instructions Jesus had recorded show us how to read and interpret the remaining 19 chapters in Revelation and the other books in the Bible. Those instructions are concise, accurate, and elementary. Jesus never opened a door for people with advanced educations derived from earthly sources to gain an advantage over a child earnestly seeking the truth. As a matter of fact, as a child Jesus was able to amaze the over educated priests of His day. That was an object lesson for us to learn from. How do you think Jesus was able to explain those mysteries to those priests? Jesus knew how the Bible was written and constructed. Jesus knew how scripture was able to answer questions on its own without any assistance from any outside source. If Jesus had offered one opinion, one idea, one source of information from outside scripture, those priests would have laughed Jesus to scorn. Those priests would have rejected every word Jesus spoke that day. Jesus had no choice but to stick to scripture and show those priests how scripture contained the answers they were looking for. No one knows how many seeds Jesus planted that day. We do know, Jesus was doing work that was directed from His Father. Why would we settle for anything less by following Satan's army who is dedicated to polluting and destroying God's Word?
