Why do people think they're in a relationship just because they spend more time together than apart? As if being together all the time gives credence that there's a relationship in progress. Some people love giving things a title so that they can feel comfortable. So that they can feel attached to something that's bigger than themselves. So that they can have something to reference to whenever someone questions it. But giving something a name doesn't mean it exists. It simply means it has a name. As I matured, I realized that I went through the same three phases in every relationship. It never failed. When you're in the moment, you don't realize when one begins and when you're exiting one. The more you think your way through relationships, opposed to just feeling your way through one, you'll arrive to the realization as well. The realization that maybe you were never in a relationship to begin with. It amuses me how people think they're in a relationship just because they spend a lot of time with the person they like. No one deserves a relationship. How long do you think it will take for you to realize that relationships are beneath you? Investing time, energy, finances, and your sanity into someone, with the hopes of them reciprocating, is a scary game to play. A game filled with red flags. But there's something about red flags that grabs your attention, right? There's something about them that makes you want to get involved. That tempts you to disregard common sense and acts of feelings and emotions. But is it so intriguing that you're willing to take a chance, knowing that there's a 50% probability of failure. Is it worth it?
