Overview
25 years after an act of bio-terrorism wiped out humanity...Sixteen-year-old Larkspur lives in a hidden colony at the base of mountains in the former state of Wyoming. She is protected in an enclave of secrecy and relegated to stay within a two-mile radius of her home at all times. But despite her parents' ever-present worry that death awaits those who travel outside the perimeter, Lark longs for adventure beyond the colony's protection. As family secrets implode and the earth's survivors rise from the ashes to threaten Huck Truman's global rule, the first children raised after The End collide with cruelties no one could have imagined and find themselves fighting a war created before their time in this continuation of the Virulent Series.
