Overview
Forbidden Notation reveals the inherent, ancient and subjective rhythmic boundaries within the standard system of music notation. These boundaries have imprisoned musical comprehension, composition and performance for more than a thousand years. This work, an accumulation of more than a decades worth of study and experimentation sheds light on precisely where and how the standard system of notation illusively inhibits and controls every users outcome. Part II provides the reader with an audaciously simple and direct solution to the problem. A simple comparison-study-example between the standard system of notation and the author's solution is also provided for the reader. The author has an established international career in drum instruction spanning almost two decades. He holds a Bachelor Of Fine Arts Degree from Berklee College of Music. He currently resides in Paris, France.
