Overview
Known thief and all around scoundrel Nicolas Sunblade has shed his jaded past to take up the art of the blade. The solar elf's natural fluid grace and uncanny balance primed him to be one of the greatest blade dancers to have ever graduated from the Gracewind Academy. Life was in his pocket, and the possibilities were endless for the reformed rogue as he prepared to find adventure, treasures, and the opportunities to apply his newly perfected trade, both for the greater good and the size of his coin purse. But a history as notorious as his does not fade so easily...Although suffering from memory loss that leaves blocks of time nothing but a roiling black mist in his mind, the past that he cannot remember returns to haunt him. When this occurs, Nicolas has no choice but to return to his former ways. The very government that was sworn to protect its citizens turns a blind eye to a slavers' raid in the town of La Noviae del Mar, and Nicolas' mother is one who was taken in the assault. Instead of aiding him, the government turns its attention to his previous crimes, and now Nicolas discovers that the only allies to be found are those who sail beneath a black flag.
