Overview
In the book, "Freddie Learns to P.A.I.N.T.", GrandE teaches her grandson Freddie how to manage his emotions. Freddie learns how to focus and calm down using a new calming technique called P.A.I.N.T. He learns how to verbally express the emotion he is feeling. He practices breathing and pinpoints the sensation in his body. Freddie learns how to talk about his feelings instead of reacting to them after his football game. If you are looking for a new self-regulation technique for your child or yourself this book will model the steps to P.A.I.N.T. Mrs. Reese Got the Grease! books are created to put tools in the readers' hands to help them become more self-aware and socially aware. They will build positive relationship skills. They will build self-management and self-regulation skills. P.A.I.N.T. will help your child to develop and understand the importance of responsible decision-making. I wholeheartedly believe in order to educate the whole child their emotional intelligence has to be developed early in life. In this book, FREDDIE LEARNS TO P.A.I.N.T., the P.A.I.N.T. technique has the five Social-Emotional Learning competencies, by CASEL, both explicitly and implicitly.
