Overview
Handsome, witty, and charming Dave Bannister started his broadcasting career at the age of twenty-one during World War II. He planned a life of success for himself in that field, but when he got married too young to a woman with a ready-made family, it appeared that would be his downfall all too soon. From that point on he led a rather tumultuous life as a radio and television personality, never quite reaching the heights he had envisioned for himself, and failing in three marriages due to his reticence to feel or show love.
