Reading Between the Lines explores the enigmatic but important monument of the Neolithic landscape, the cursus. The book moves beyond a simple morphological description to considers what we can say about these monuments in light of several decades of aerial reconnaissance and excavation in Scotland. Brophy explores the idiosyncrasies of each site that are often hidden by the blanket application of the term cursus.
