John and his family take in a young boy from the Projects in Paterson, NJ, in an effort to improve the boy's lot in life, only to find that society does not always smile upon those that put themselves out there, attempting to make a positive impact in a hard world. With faith and dogged determination, the Tanis family finds out just how high the cost of doing the right thing can be.
