Overview
Miles O. Sherrill served in the North Carolina 12th Infantry Regiment. He was wounded and captured at Spottsylvania Court House in 1864 where he lost a leg. He spent the remainder of the war in the Elmira Prison Camp in New York. This is his story in his own words of the autrocities at Elmira. We have added a roster of his unit.
