Overview
After just graduating from college in 1971, 22-year-old Keith Myers saw a Peace Corps poster that would change his life forever. Exchanging his small-town Minnesota farm life for two years in Ethiopia, he used his skills as a teacher to make a difference in a land stricken with poverty, on the brink of a civil war. It felt an impossible task, but Myers' memoir, in gorgeous hardcover form, is rich in adventure, history and hope, reminding us that there is no need greater than that of simple human kindness.
