Overview
Charlie Manson gets all the big press when you talk about serial killers, but he didn't inspire nearly as many filmmakers as the mommy fixated...necrophiliac murderer...Ed Gein. Norman Bates in PSYCHO, Leatherface in THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, and Buffalo Bill in THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS - were all characters that were loosely based on the Wisconsin based murderer known as either the Butcher of Plainfield or the Plainfield Ghoul - and who made headline news nationally back in the 1950s. Gein died in 1984 at the age of 77, but what would have happened if the reclusive and shy Eddie - most likely a virgin his entire life - had actually fathered a small family before he died? Through a collection of nefarious short stories of prison, crime, sexual deviancy, drugs, MK-Ultra, and mental institutions - THE SEED OF ED GEIN explores this bizarro world.
