This book deals with the physical, emotional and psychological trauma resulting from job loss and offers a positive look at the potentially damaging psychological aspects. It is a book about finding yourself, not a job. If you travel this journey through unemployment honestly and with an open mind, it may be the most important and rewarding thing you do in your life. Validate your own experience and emotions. Then, focus on what you would really like to do and move towards that goal. Make your journey a happy and a positive one. Sometimes we don't realize the positive benefits of a trauma until we let the healing occur. Then, looking back on the experience we realize that our paradigm may have changed, and things that bothered or obstructed us before, no longer impede us. Several people reported that they have learned valuable lessons. The book ends with a chapter of such lessons, "Silver Linings."
