Overview

It was a very long time argument as regards which of the two sons of Abraham Isaac or Ishmael was used for Sacrifice. The Holy Koran mentioned Ishmael while the Holy bible mentioned Isaac. However, this story being a historical event was written by Moses whose Mentor was Jetho his father-in-law being one of the descendants of the Ishmaelites; that Isaac would have been used for the sacrifice after the departure of Ishmael with his mother. This could be the real story based on the fact that it was a recorded event which proceed the Koran and Jethro was one of Ishmaelite sources that Moses used and was a student of Jethro who had educated him much about the God of Abraham and his promise to bring his people out of Egypt which he had not learned in Egypt. He got this education and information from Jethro first and Moses sought for the opportunity before God appeared to him in the form of a burning bush The Islamic Hadith written by Prophet Mohammed confirmed that Ishmael and his mother departed from Abraham when he was sucking her breast which is quite similar to that written by Moses in Genesis. Therefore, Ishmael was used as symbol of Isaac in the Holy Koran being a prophetic book. Other story in the bible include the "KAABA" in the Holy city of Mecca based on the prophecy of Isaiah and based on the Abrahamic covenant with the nation of Ishmael called "Saudi Arabia" and many more.
