Overview
A young woman, from a rich but destructive New England family, finishes college to work in France where she meets her Italian lover. Together they form an unusually passionate and tender bond. However, a misunderstanding between them which raises specters of her abusive parents, sends her fleeing back to the States, not aware she is pregnant. After her son's birth, she conceals her whereabouts from the boy's father. He, in turn, is desperate to find her and explain that his seemingly cruel actions were necessary to save her life.
