Overview
A Dissertation based on an extensive survey of the extant literature and personal research in the Southern Levant. The data were used to build 'comprehensive models' of MB gates, ramparts and walls. A systems approach to analyzing ancient fortifications was proposed that reflects the designer's consideration of military tactics and weapons systems in constructing these massive works.
