Overview
A Lesser Grief is a collection done in the style of a master craftsman. Hurd is equally at home with rhyme or free verse. The poems are straight-forward yet marked by extreme eloquence. A truly thought-provoking and heart-felt collection, the book ranges from observations of everyday life to the deepest emotions confronting any person attempting to live a full and meaningful life. Lovers of Larkin, Eliot, and W.C. Williams will appreciate this work.
